No: Not isolated...No. Swollen lymph glands ( lymphadenopathy) is a nonspecific finding associated with acute HIV acquisition...But requires more than 3 sites excluding inguinal.

Large tonsils: Not a sign of hiv, but if you have suddenly one large tonsil, see your doctor soon. If they are both large, but they do not affect breathing or eating, no worries.
