Can a cirrhosis patient have normal liver results?

Dr. Sowmya Kurtakoti answered

It is unusual for a patient with cirrhosis to have normal liver enzymes. Usually the high liver enzymes are what prompts further liver testing like ultrasound and eventually biopsy to make a diagnosis of cirrhosis.
