A member asked:

For cirrhosis patient, which dossage form of paracetamol is better ?oral or injection ?cos injection it don't pass liver.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Oral form: Taking pills is less painful and much safer than getting a shot. Acetaminophen is going to go to the liver no matter how it's adminstered. Whoever is telling you this stuff about acetaminophen being dangerous to your loved one with cirrhosis is doing a disservice. It's metabolized slower so use a low dose. http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2861975/
