Depends...: Jaw pain can be caused by many things. What to do about it depends on what's causing it to ache. It could be anything from TMJ problems to heart problems. If it's typical aching of the muscles and joint(s), it may be a temporomandibular disorder such as myofascial pain or an internal derangement of the jaw joint. Start with a soft diet, nsaid's and muscle relaxants. If it persists, see a doctor.
