Sore jaw following dental work. what pain meds will help stop the pain?

Depends: If the soreness is muscular in origin from being open a long time or from stress on your joint, it is usually reversible and responsive to nsaids like ibuprofen. If the soreness seems to be near a tooth that was recently worked on, nsaids will help but you may need additional treatment on that tooth. Give it a day or 2 to settle down and return to the dentist if it persists.

OTC Pain Meds: Take whatever you would normally take for a headache such as advil, Motrin or aleve (naproxen).
