Do your homework: In the hands of professionals experienced in those treatment modalities, both should be equally effective. Invisalign has an advantage by virtue of the fact that it is removable, with no food restrictions, and no emergencies, and no irritation to the tongue. Incognito braces are exceptional in there control because they are not removable. Ask to view pre and post treatment results from the doctors.

Invisalign: Not a fan of lingual braces. Difficult for the orthodontist to adjust, impact your speech, cut up your tongue. I'd either use clear brackets or invisalign to achieve your goals.

Compliance: If you are a compliant patient, and wear your aligners as you should (22 hours per day), then choose invisalign. If you may not be so compliant, and do not trust yourself, then go for lingual braces.

Lingual braces: In my experience i like lingual braces over invisalign. I am a control freak and like to take away as many variables as possible. That said invisalign does a nice job if the ratment is well planned and the patient is very compliant.

Neither: Question should be, "What Orthodontic Appliance will give me the BEST esthetic, functional, and long lasting result?" See a qualified Orthodontic Specialist for the best answer for your problem set, but don't be surprised if neither of the appliances in your question is the best answer for you.

Both may work: Certain problems can be corrected with either. Sometimes the problem is too severe for Invisalign, then braces are required. Incognito is one of the types of lingual (Behind the Teeth) braces available. One of the newer and better variants is SureSmile, worth looking for an Orthodontist using this technology.
