Yes: If you haven't been to the dentist for some time, problems can multiple quickly. In addition to having your teeth restored, you might considering trying to determine the reason you need so much restorative work. It could be many things, however, diet and insufficient fluoridation are a good place to start looking.

Not Necessarily : This is a difficult question without doing a thorough exam. I always show my patients on the xrays and i take pictures of the teeth to show them all the fillings they need. If you don't feel comfortable you can always go back in and ask the dentist to show you or go to another dentist for a second opinion. Feeling comfortable with your treatment is important and you should trust your dentist.
