A member asked:

I don't have money for a therapist but i'm very depressed and have been for 2 years now i know i will be "okay" but it's taking a toll on my health?

Yes: Depression can have negative effects on your health. For example, if you are extremely tired all the time (a symptom of depression) and you consequently don't exercise that can lead to bad health. Also, if you drink alcohol to escape from your depression, then that can have negative consequences. For low cost therapy, try jewish family service (for people of all backgrounds, not only jewish).
