Tissue contour: Healing tissue probably has irregular contour that feels funny-no need to worry dryness from no tooth present for saliva to cling to.

Not sure: It should not be a worrying situation but since you asked the question it bothers you enough to do something about it. Contact the oral surgeon that extracted the teeth and discuss it with him/her and perhaps schedule an appt. For them to relook at the area.

Absolutely: It is advisable to stick with a light soft diet and to avoid hot foods for 24-48 hours after the extraction. Shortly after you should be able to resume your normal diet.

Absolutely not: It should be a joint decision between you and your oral surgeon. If you prefer it then you should make it known that you prefer that it be done with conscious sedation or local anesthesia.

A 24-year-old female asked:

When can I go to the gym again after all 4 wisdom teeth being extracted?

2-3 days: Being 24 yrs of age and in good health, you will likely heal fast. Usually in 2-3 days after the extraction, the cavity left from the extracted tooth is filled in and clotted-up and you should be able to exercise as long you are not having too much pain. So, just take the cue from your body...If you feel up to it, then do so. If not, take it easy for few days until you are better. Good luck.

Check these factors: Ask your own dentist to take a look at the available room in your mouth and have him\her take some x-rays to see how much they have developed at this point, along with their angle. Factor in your age and we can fairly accurately determine whether or not they should remain or be removed. I have had a few surprises over the years with teenagers who have had a big growth spurt.

Waite: It could be post operative inflammation from the trauma of the extraction. Waite two weeks while under antibiotics and mild anti inflammatory meds. Like Ibuprofen or Naproxen to rule out infection and inflammation , if the condition does not improve, you should get examined , xrayed and diagnosed for possible nerve damage. Keep in mind that there is a limited window of time to treat never damage
