Possible infection: I would get to a dentist asap to have an evaluation. You may have an infection around the area where the wisdom tooth is erupting- pericoronitis.

Wisdom teeth: Visit your dentist today! wisdom teeth can cause much pain and damages to other molar teeth way before coming in. Many remain under the gum flap or even under the bone for years. In many cases, these wisdom teeth has no functional space to erupt, and pose risks to other teeth or bone by growing into a cyst later, or to you by causing severe pain and infection. Ask your dentist what's best for u.

Clean mouth ;extract: Most people are unable to floss fully erupted wisdom teeth and thereby they are always infected ... Hence the primary reason to get them extracted. (sooner before the roots are fully formed). For less pain, lower your preoperative oral bacteria count by flossing daily for a month and possibly taking preoperative antibiotics. Preventing the infection will minimize the post-op dry socket pain.
