Possible infection: I would get to a dentist asap to have an evaluation. You may have an infection around the area where the wisdom tooth is erupting- pericoronitis.

Clean mouth ;extract: Most people are unable to floss fully erupted wisdom teeth and thereby they are always infected ... Hence the primary reason to get them extracted. (sooner before the roots are fully formed). For less pain, lower your preoperative oral bacteria count by flossing daily for a month and possibly taking preoperative antibiotics. Preventing the infection will minimize the post-op dry socket pain.
