Anesthesia ?: Are you going to be put to sleep or are the teeth being extracted with just local anesthetic? With the local, you will just feel numb. If you are being put to sleep, you will awake a bit drowsy.. The meds have an amnesic affect, so you probably will not remember anything. Express your concerns to your oral surgeon.

Request IV sedation: The meds produce an amnesia and analgesia effect so you cannot remember or feel anything. Good luck.
