I have swelling distal to tooth 31. there's a white line but otherwise color is consistent w gums. dull pain/pressure feeling & uncomfy when i bite down & jaw feels a bit stiff. wisdom teeth were extracted 3yr ago with no problems. what could it be?

The issue could be a periodontal pocket on the distal of #31 that is trapping food and bacteria. You'll have to see your local dentist for a proper diagnosis.

Gum disease, cavity, fractured tooth, ulcer, and so many other possibilities. Cannot diagnose without examination and possible imaging. See your Dentist, not a cumputer click.
