Depends: A chest infection could mean bronchitis, pneumonia or coughing related to post nasal dripping. A child with pneumonia or bronchitis will not likely be up to going to school and the coughing will be very disruptive to other students. A child with a cold and post nasal dripping without a fever could go to school as long as cough not to disruptive. Any child with fever should stay home.
