Depends..: If his "chest infection" has been going on a few days, give it time. If it is bacterial, Amoxicillin may help. If it is viral, antibiotics will not help. If this has been going on for weeks or months, your doctor may need to reevaluate therapy. I do not know what you mean by "gixer" or "citriz.".
