Sleep hygiene: Practice good sleep hygiene (google that phrase), then see your family doctor. If you have a psychiatric cause you will be referred to a psychologist or psychiatrist, if it appears to be more 'physical' you may be referred to a sleep disorders specialist. Insomnia is miserable and unheathy on many levels. . Otc options include melatonin 3 mg 2 hours before bed. L-theanine or tranquilene as well.
