See below: Likely due to genetics, your own physiology, diet and age. As women age (men too), metabolism slows and it takes more effort to keep muscle tone and loose fat. Diet is also incredibly important as many foods slow metabolism instead of speeding it up. Speak to you doc about this for more info.
