Ibuprophen: There will be pain after an extraction for the first few days. Use ibuprohen 600mg every 6 hours, if this is safe for you to take. Avoid hard, chrunchy, spicy foods, a soft diet is better for the first days. Ice packs will help. Rinse with warm salt water. Follow the instructins that the dentist gave you after the extraction. Contact the dentist if you have severe pain or swelling.
