Could be normal: depending upon complexity of extraction, blood clot is retained to stimulate bone fill for socket. If question, see the dentist who removed the tooth for confirmation

Neither am I: Not being able to examine you I can't tell you if what you are seeing is normal or not. Return to the Dentist who removed your tooth, the professional that knows you best, for 1) post-surgical evaluation, and 2) discussion of best way to replace missing tooth to prevent other teeth from shifting.

Healing socket: What you describe may or may not be normal. It has to be seen by a dentist to evaluate. The dentist who extracted your tooth is responsible for aftercare which is usually included in the original fee so call him/her to answer your questions and possibly see you for an evaluation.
