Walking: From a doctor's perspective walking is the best form of exercise. One must walk vigorously enough to raise the heart rate and then keep the heart rate fast enough (usually 120 beats per minute to 140 bpm) for at least twenty minutes at a time. If one cannot speak in a full sentence while walking they are working too hard. If one's heart rate is too high they will not burn fat.
