My left side of my rt knee is bone on bone.doctor sd he cd do partial knee replacement. it hurts 2 walk. i'm 83 & i really dont wnt operation so he injected me w a gel or chicken shot. it bn 1 week & still pain. does shot take longer than week 2 work?

I haven't been overly impressed with the patients' results that I've seen who received synvisc injections for knee osteoarthritis but I always felt it was worth a try if other treatments didn't help. It is recommended to allow a month to determine if it brings relief.

Do mainly agree with my colleagues, as your injection may fail, BUT, it is reasonable to wait 4-6 weeks prior to declaring a failure if you did receive hyaluronic acid.
