Maybe not: Having gone through this myself, i understand. Problem is one has to be under general anesthesia for a certain length of time. If one has already gone through part of the procedure (2 out, 2 to go, per se), it'll take longer to go through all stages to get to general anesthesia than taking the last 2 teeth. I got through it awake, you can too! if you can, take 800mg of Ibuprofen 20 min before.

Tooth extraction: All one really needs 99% of the time is local anesthesia which can completely numb you up & allow the dentist to extract one or more teeth. Some patients 'want' to be 'out' & sometimes a dentist 'wants' a patient out because he\she needs cooperation from a patient in order to make the procedure comfortable for both patient & doctor. Discuss options with your own dentist & work things out.

Oral Sedation: Tooth extraction is usually carried out with local anesthesia. Ask your dentist about oral sedation that can help with mild to moderate levels of fear and anxiety.
