Migraine surgery: A trigger point is identified usually with botox. That nerve is then released at the time of surgery.

Carefully: Specific nerves that contribute to the headache pain are identified with a combination of physical examination and either Botox or nerve blocks. These nerves are then "freed up" from the surrounding tissue and cushioned with your own body fat. It is outpatient surgery performed under magnification by a trained specialist.
