A member asked:

Am i having migraine variants from cervical ddd and do i need surgery?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Most of the time, No: Although I have a number of patients in my headache clinic who have severe headaches due to cervical degenerative arthritis my belief is that migraine symptoms or its variants are more likely due to a primary headache process such as migraine headaches as opposed to a consequence of something else. Bottom line is a good headache specialist will be able to tease this out for you.
