I had a minor surgery on my kidney this morning and now im having a horrible migraine. am i allowed to take my rizatriptan to relieve my symptoms? my doctor said no advil but didnt tell me what to do about my prescribed medications?

Yes, you can take your med for migraine, only not taking NSAIDs and blood thinner.

Your triptan medication can be used to abort your migraine if used within the first couple hrs but has an abysmal effect if taken too late. Safe to use after surgery
