Yes, see you doctor: Yes, if you are wheezing and coughing and on maintanence medication like symbicort, (budesonide and formoterol) you should see your doctor as soon as possible. These are signs and symptoms of spasm and inflammation in your lower airway that are not controlled. Do not delay.

Yes: This can be fixed, usually. Discuss cxr, pft with albuterol response, inhaled steroids and other medication with your lung doc.
Maybe you have asthma? Or something else? Discuss nasolaryngoscopy with your doc also.
