Cold sores: If they spread that quickly and are recurrent you may need oral not topical antivirals to stop their spread and if they are recurrent you may need oral suppressive therapy to protect the eye.

Eye evaluation: You should have your eyes evaluated to make sure there is no ocular involvement. You should have close follow up with the physician treating this as well to make sure it is resolving and not spreading.
