Does a cold sore start off like a pimple with a white head? it's just above my lip, i popped it and a white chunk like a pimple came out. woke up next morning and it had turned into a yellow puss, painful boil type thing. what does this sound like?

Infected hair: This isn't a cold sore / herpes. Try to leave it alone though the natural tendency is to mess with it.
