On suppressive aciclovir 2x400mg daily therapy for cold sores for about 1 year now. can i continue or do i need to have a break off the treatment? i have not had any outbreaks during the treatment.

Break is okay: Usually if you have no underlying immunosuppression, it can be changed to as needed regimen for treating outbreaks unless they're very frequent.
