Miralax, (polyethylene glycol) or generic: In my opinion , taking 3 doses of MiraLAX (polyethylene glycol) ( 1 cap in 8 oz water) separated by 20 min each should get you going within a few hours. May be repeated the next day if needed.

There is no one : Answer. Its a combination of pain and narcotics which can make you constipated after a surgery. You are already on a stool softener. Take it twice a day and cut down on the narcotics if you r taking any. Warm prune juice helps well. If that doesnt help try MiraLAX (polyethylene glycol) 17 gms, mix with 12-16 oz water and drink it twice a day till you are able to go. If this all doesnt help contact your doctor.
