Question unclear: How was strep pharyngitis diagnosed? Therapy will seldom shorten the duration and is designed to prevent post-streptococcal complications like acute rheumatic fever. If the diagnosis incorrect the white spots may continue to get worse. May be infectious mononucleosis. Where are they and what do they look like? .
