Do i have strep or pharyngitis? i have checked for redness and white spots on my throat, but it seems like a subtle redness. how obvious is strep?

It is not always: Obvious. The beefy red, enlarged tonsils with purulent exudates and swollen lymph nodes don't always occur. A strep throat test/ culture will allow you to know for sure.
