A benign issue: Tarlov cysts are benign outpouches of the spinal fluid at nerve root levels and are not symptomatic usually. It will not cause constipation at all. Look to the diet and the lack of probiotics and adequate fiber for the reason for constipation.

Wow: A 2.6 centimeter (1 inch) tarlov cyst needs to be followed to make sure it is not expanding and causing an instability or erosion of the vertebral body. It is unlikely to be causing constipation.
