A member asked:

Will lumbosacral plexus mr neurography provide data to diagnose nerve damage caused by: intradural lesion at l4, 1.5 cm tarlov cyst at s-2, and damage from mini-arc bladder sling and partial removal?

MR Neurogram: The MRI neurogram can help with location of neurologic conditions and somewhat the activity and what it is doing to surrounding tissue. It does not necessarily diagnose "nerve damage" although it certainly can help confirm a space occupying entity that may cause mechanical compression on a nerve or the character of an intradural lesion. Would not expect to help with the mini sling issue.

Maybe: It will not demonstrate evidence of damage from the intradural lesion or the tarlov cyst. It might demonstrate damage from the surgery if symptoms and bladder surgery were temporally related.

See below: This should be helpful and evaluation with a neurologist with EMG and nerve conduction velocity studies and neurologic bladder testing . Good luck thank you.
