What causes a knee to fall asleep? could it be from my tarlov cysts at multiple levels in my spine?

Unlikely: Tarlov cysts are not often a cause of radicular or focal knee symptoms. Numbness in the knee area can occur with localized nerve injury (cutaneous branches) or occasionally from L4 invlovement.
