Had mri of pelvis plain done.but it was done by hospital staff and no radiologist was present.m told doctor will see and interpret images.is this ok?

Hospital Culture: First, in most instances, the radiologist will review the images and dictate a report for the physician who ordered the exam. You will be given the information usually by your physician.

Generally, yes: I am assuming that some doctor ordered the MRI but radiologists specialize in reading them. Normally, even if the md you saw was able to see something on the mri, a radiologist would still read & interpret the findings for completeness. Often, smaller hospitals send tests out to specialist they cannot support themselves to allow them to provide the service (your mri) locally & save moving you.
