A couple weeks ago my husband starting having a pain in the front of his ribs, top left side. Progressively over the past 3 weeks the pain has gotten worse and has now wrapped around to his back. He has been taking 800mg ibuprofen for the past week to help with any inflammation, but it has not helped. The pain is so intense it hurts him to breathe, but he says it's not in his lungs, it's his ribs. What sort of doctor do we need to see? Is there anything they can do? Intense rib pain?
