Maybe: If the work up is essentially negetive than taking an advil (ibuprofen) prob not an issue. Take it with food. The symptoms need to be worked up first however and not just symptomatic treatment. Peptic ulcer disease for instance can cause similar symptoms and advil (ibuprofen) would be contraindicated.

As long as you have : No allergy to aspirin. Or Aspirin like products and are not on any blood thinners or have any medical issues that would preclude or limit their use like an ulcer, liver or kidney problems, then you can take advil (ibuprofen) but if the pains persist for a while, see your physician. Taking advil (ibuprofen) has side effect risks mostly related to GI issues that increase with dose and length of use of the medication.
