Until after sxs end: Generally anyone with lung or throat disease from TB will be infectious. The goal of medical treatment is to eliminate the mycobacterium in the body. At some point after (effective) treatment begins, one will no longer be infectious, but it's not immediate and can be tested (e.g., with sputum samples. If the treatment fails (from resistance or from not taking meds), you may be infectious again.
