Tuberculosis: AFB positive in sputum or stomach lavage means the person is spreading tb, should have detail investigation including chest x-ray and be on standard TB treatment regime, 3-4 drugs. He/she should be isolated. All household need tuberculin test and chest x-ray. In india, if received bcg, tuberculin test will not help, it will be +ve anyway. Isoniazid and pyridoxine for 9 months. Consult your doc.
