Currently i am on tb medication. after how much time usually, sputum culture gets negative? if it is active and pulmonary tb. and does afb sputum culture indicate that tb medication is in the sputum or not?

See below: You are no longer infectious when no AFB is seen on sputum smear. How long depends on the extent of infection. TB mediation is not tested for in the sputum culture. Stay on the medication, till your doctor tells you to discontinue. Wish you good health!
