A member asked:

Is it likely to have rabies if i was bitten over 3 years ago by a cat?

No: You would be dead if you contracted rabies from an animal 3 years ago. Untreated rabies kills you within days to weeks, not years. Thee are only 2 cases ever documented in entire world where anyone survived rabies past when they started having symptoms. That's why if you think you may have been exposed, it is essential to start treatment right away, or you die. Also, cats don't often carry rabies.

Unlikely: Incubation may last about a year longer than a year is extremely unlikely and exceedingly rare.
