My 3 year old cat killed a bat and has been vaccinated for rabies once (at 6 months of age). he hasn't bitten anyone, but are we safe from rabies?

Rabies: When hour cat killed the bat, what happened to its body. Wasn't it examined fir rabies? Secondly do you live in an area where rabies have been reported in bats? If your cat has been vacinated you should be safe.
