Confusing post: A primary post exposure rabies series 8 yrs ago would carry forward benefits for about 2 yrs. A bite by a rabid cat 3-4 yrs ago would likely not benefit from the prior treatment & repeat required. You would be dead from rabies by now if the cat were truly rabid.
