I was bitten by my cat last year, my cat is still alive to this day and she's still healthy. i had no shots when she bit me, am i safe against rabies?

I would think so: The typical rabies exposure progresses to disease within weeks. The animal dies of the disease within 1-2 wks & the human becomes ill soon thereafter. You occasionally read of long delays from exposure to disease in rare instances but this story does not fit with any of those. Cant & dogs can be vaccinated against rabies.
