Unrelated: Dental problems are unrelated to varicose veins. Vv are veins that bulge and look cosmetically bad due to incompetent valve failure from trauma, obesity, genetics bad luck. They may be completely without symptoms or cause discomfort/pain and open sores. Only you can decide how much of a problem they are. Get to a vein expert or wound doc for an evaluation. There are many types of treatments.

Swollen veins: Varicose veins really don't feel any different than normal veins unless they are clotted and are then tender and hard. I feel that if there is a varicose vein, then there has to be an underlying source of reflux. I guess that rarely there can be varicose veins without reflux but a good sonographer should be able to find the reflux. You should see and be evaluated by a vein specialist.

See a specialist : Your veins should be fixed if there is sin or skin injury or if they hurt. A vein specialist can deal with your veins using a combination of techniques in the office, usually in under an hour but first you need a specialized ultrasound.
