Vascular surgeon: If ,after examining you and studying ultrasound examinations of your legs, a vascular surgeon could tell you whether you would be a candidate for removal of damaged and incompetent veins which cause symptoms of leg aching and or edema from congested veins. Another option would be prescription strength compression stockings.
