A member asked:

I had an ekg and it showed left ventricular atrophy. what is this ?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Hypertrophy: Left ventricular hypertrophy means the heart muscle is thickened, usually due to hypertension or high blood pressure. Rarely, other types can occur due to other processes. You should get an echocardiogram or ultrasound of your heart. It can also be due to being very athletic, so called "athlete's heart". See a cardiologist.
