Possible Panic D/O: Panic disorder causes episodic extreme anxiety and "panic" -- symptoms can include chest pressure & pain, hard to tell from cardiac illness. So, many patients do end up in the er because they fear they're having a heart attack. Hence, the cardiac workup -- which in your case has been normal. A psychiatrist can help you with this. Also, a psychologist can help with cognitive behavioral therapy.
