This is great: As you become fit, your body will guide you. Protein after a workout is a good thing, though more than 20 grams is plenty and more does not offer a benefit. Lean protein is key. Avoid greasy, salty, and sugary stuff. Most advice on diet in the gym is non-evidence-based; the key is the fitness-focused lifestyle. You are giving yourself a wonderful gift. Your physician can be your guide.
