Type 1 diabetes is a label usually applied to kids who at an average age of 8-10 have in illness that triggers an immune attack on their insulin making cells. Insulin production declines & stops followed by T1DM. Type 2 is a label applied to adults who can make their own insulin but it does not work well enough to keep their blood sugar normal. I wouldn't you anything without a complete evaluation

This is not enough info to tell but not likely type 1 or your glucose would be much higher fasting unless you are taking insulin now. Type 2 tends to run in family. Do a family tree for diabetes as far back as you can. Then share with your Drs.

In all likelihood you have type 2 diabetes. Type 1 would have required insulin treatment at an earlier age. Wish you good health!
